founded one of the first forwarding agencies

in Bonn. Starting in 1907 he offered services

such as barge handling, warehousing and

conventional truck-transportation, segments

which even today are part of the core business

of the company. Within the past decades

more services have been added and adapted

according to market requirements.

Currently the company is led by the 3rd

generation of the family who retain the

core principles of the company’s founder of

exceeding the service expectations of their

Long distance traffic by barge is the main

focus among the container services offered

by Am Zehnhoff-Söns. We transship round

the clock, more than 50 barge connections a

week provide ideal and straight forwarding

options as well as fast and environmentally

friendly transports from and to our terminals

in Bonn and Trier.

Rail transshipment

Due to our workshops at the terminals Bonn and

Trier we are able to check and repair containers in-

house. Moreover, numerous carrier and container

lease companies make use of Am Zehnhoff-

Söns‘ depot space. So they can respond flexibly

to regional market requirements. By using the

CODECO system our customers are kept informed

about current container levels daily.

Am Zehnhoff-Söns owns a fleet of trucks

(exclusively EURO VI) and chassis. Do you

expect the highest standards and maximum

of efficiency? Our in-house fleet makes many

things possible: environmentally friendly,

reliable and always kept up-to-date. We renew

our fleet regularly by adapting it to the latest

environmental standards.

Trier and the seaports Rotterdam and Antwerp

offer an interesting alternative to direct

trucking. A capacity of 100 TEU is provided on

each journey several times a week.
