• This activity works great for groups of 3-4.

• It would be best to laminate the task cards, mystery maze, and Santa’s checklist so that you can use them year after year (not necessary but saves a lot of paper and time).

• You only need to print one set of task cards for each group (pages 10-13).

Laminate!

• I like to print the workspace (pages 6-7) back to back. Make sure to print the workspace for each student so that every student is held accountable for showing their work.

• I like to laminate the “Missing Christmas Present” (page 5) on the board and have a student read it out loud. However, you can also laminate it for each group.

• Students love to make guesses. Before they start the activity, have students guess who they think which child’s present was misplaced, which toy it is, and where it is located.

Missing Christmas Present Please help Santa! Santa has

6 houses left to deliver presents. However, he only

has 5 presents. Somehow Santa misplaced the last present. Help him find the present and deliver it to

the right child.
