Dear Parents/Carers,
This week, we have a number of exciting
activities happening again, not the least of
which is the Spring Bounce!
We have Kinder Orientation running again
on Tuesday this week. This has been a
wonderful program that has given children
an opportunity to experience ‘big school’.
Thank you to all of our dedicated teachers
that have made the program a wonderful
chance for these little people to try
different activities and different days and
see what goes on in a big school. Don’t
forget to mark on your calendars Thursday
5th December which will be our final Kinder
Orientation session and a chance for
parents to come in and talk to Mrs
Statham, Ms Beecher and myself about
starting school. A flyer will go out with
children tomorrow. We would love for you
to come along!
We are fortunate this week to have Dr Paul
Swan visiting us from Perth to work with
our teachers on teaching mathematics. Dr
Swan is known as a teacher of
mathematical thinking and one of
Australia’s go-to mathematics teaching
gurus. We have been fortunate to secure
him to come to Cowra to work with us to

improve our teaching of Maths and, in
particular, computational thinking. Dr Swan
will present a workshop to Mulyan staff
and teachers from other schools around
our district on Thursday afternoon, then
teach demonstration lessons K-6 over
Thursday and Friday. We are excited!
Finally, we will finish our week off with our
annual Spring Bounce! This year will be
bigger and better with more inflatable
rides for the older children and a wider
selection of food stalls so you can make an
evening of it. Tickets for the night can be
purchase through our Flexischools App
(the one we use for the canteen not the
school app) or with cash through our
office. There will be tickets available on the
night also. Please keep your eye on our
social media channels and the school app
for details. Alternatively, you can contact
the school office. The chocolate wheel is
also happening again this year with all
proceeds going to the Hazelton Family to
support them through Makenzie’s
treatment. We are still looking for
donations to the baskets for this if you
have forgotten to send something in.

Spring Bounce
Baskets
Each class is given a theme and each student is asked to donate new
items to fill their class basket. The basket will then be available to win
at the Chocolate Wheel. Items MUST be to the classrooms by
Thursday afternoon!
This year, the P&C have kindly donated proceeds from the Chocolate
Wheel to Makenzie Hazelton and her family.
