We visit too one of the most outstanding sites, which is ubicated in the norh of Marienplatz and is the new town hall (Neues Rathaus), dating from the nineteenth century. It has a tower 85 meters high which houses the famous Glockenspiel, which has 43 bells, accompanied by mechanical marionettes that recreate historical scenes of the city of Munich and visitors can climb through the elevator.

Enjoying Suppose we finish at 8.30 pm. It’s time to taste Munich! For this, we’re going to the brewery Hofbräuhaus. This is an emblematic site situated at 400m ( 5 minutes walking) from Marienplatz. The Hofbrauhaus is the symbol of festive and cultural environment in Munich. It was founded in 1589 and has a long history behind it. It was a meeting place of Hitler, when he wasn’t still the Fuhrer who terrorized the world. Enjoying this place is like living a little Oktoberfest. A local full of big, long, wooden tables and benches, with people wearing typical costumes of the area and large jars of different marks of beers served there. Delicacies suck as sausages, roasts, pork knuckles, purees, etc. are served too.

As the trains at Füssen leave from early in the morning, we woke up at 5.30 am and go to the station. Approximately 2 hours later, we arrive at Füssen. We go to the supermarket to buy something for breakfast and we buy the tickets to Neuschwanstein. The tickets are properly numbered and with the hour at that we had to get written (Germans are so). Born (in 1866) as a romantic fantasy, a composition of towers and walls that sought harmony with the mountains and lakes, this castle is situated at 4.7 km for Füssen. Is possible go there in bus (3€ go and back), in horse carts (more expensive) or walking (approximately 1h, but I think the landscape’s really worthwhile.. And there aren’t olive trees!).

To finish the day sightseeing, we go to the cathedral Frauenkirche. One of the curiosities that have this church is that its tower (as well as the tower of New Town Hall) dominate the top of the city, that is, its towers can be seen from all directions, thanks to an order prohibiting any further building 100 meters. The best: the south tower of the cathedral can be visited offering a panoramic view of the city and the Alps.
