MUREE MONTHLY JANUARY 2021

Goodbye 2020 and welcome 2021! The board and staff at Muree Golf Club hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year. We are all excited at to try some new things this year and hope that you, our valuable members enjoy 2021.

Covid restrictions are still in place but with some easing of the rules. Please remember that you must still sign into the club either by the Service NSW app or the sign in sheet. Also, we ask if you could still try to maintain social distancing and use the hand sanitisers that are located around the Club.

Live music is on every Friday night after the raffles and Karaoke on Sunday 7th February. Poker is coming to Muree on Saturday nights. We have the return of one of our most popular bands Cruz, playing on Saturday 30th January at 7.30pm.

Golf is back in full swing with competitions on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays plus the Ladies resuming on Tuesday 2nd February. Plus, golf for kids with great Cadet membership packages and lessons (see blow for details). Feb 14th is the date for our 5 person Ambrose “Love your Super” with all proceeds going to Rob so he can purchase equipment for the course.

Lee has the Pro Shop and entry way looking fantastic, come on in a grab a bargain. I believe we have some incredible deals happening downstairs.

Upstairs, the drinks are icy cold, and our staff are super friendly, ready and waiting to look after you

Don’t forget to swipe your card at the Kiosk especially if you are having a birthday in February.

• Hi golfers, it’s pleasing to report that golf for Muree is definitely changing for the better.

• Our competition numbers are on the rise Wednesdays are around 90- 100 each week, Saturdays around 140 weather permitting.

• The course is looking better each week and with our new golf carts and fully stocked pro shop these numbers will only increase.

• Jnr clinics are back on Tuesdays from 4 till 5pm bookings essential.

• My shop is getting close to finished ,I have a huge range of all golfing equipment to suit anyone’s needs. Some amazing specials are on shoes with over 250 pairs on stock, foot joys from $49, bags from $109, waterproof bags from only $169 this is not a miss print !!!!!!

• All sets of irons have been reduced save up to $500 a set be quick.

• New shirts are in Robbie brown for the ladies and under armour for the men.

• Are your grips getting slippery ? Why not replace them today 1/2 hour is all I need to transform your clubs back to life . Grips from only $5 each includes fitting 😃👍.

• Small hands, medium or large hands does not matter, I can tailor any grip to suit you.

• Hats, towels, shirts and ball markers with club logo are in, its time to show off your club when playing other courses .

• Club fitting is also available for anyone who wants a set but does not know where to start !

• Bookings essential, this is a free service.

• If you need anything in regards to golf please don’t hesitate to call me or pop into the pro shop for a chat.

Tip of the week:-

• Making sure you have the right grips for your hand 🤚.

• Grip pressure is a very important thing if your grips are too small then you will grip it harder, if they are too big then you cannot release the club properly in the swing.

• A guide for your hand, Papers under the grip.

• Small one paper.

• Medium 2 papers.

• Med large 3 papers.

• Large 4 papers.

• Extra large 5 to 6 papers.

• Just remember your hands on the golf club are one of the most important things in golf.
