Setting the bar for future excellenceMurraylands Training & Employment were excited anddelighted to host His Excellency, The Governor, RearAdmiral Kevin Scarce, A.C., C.S.C., R.A.N.R. as their “GuestSpeaker” at their Annual Awards dinner on Friday evening30th March. His Excellency’s speech gave a great deal ofencouragement to all the Apprentices & Trainees as he toldall those assembled about his training throughout hisNavy career and the training that he oversaw making aspecial point that everyone must set “goals in their lives”.The inspiration that the Apprentices & Trainees took on
board will suit them well in their careers.
M.T. & E. is the only regional group training organisation inthis state which holds a premier gala event like theseAwards for their Apprentice, Trainee & Host Employerclients. 146 people attended the Awards includingDignitaries, Sponsors, Host Employers, the 16 outstandingFinalists who were truly worthy of their selection, theirfamilies & friends, MT&E Board & partners and the staff.
Mrs. Monica Meulengraaf, CEO of M.T. &E. was very proudof all the MT&E team and their efforts for the Awardsevening. She commented that Renee Wundenberg, theOffice Manager had overseen every detail and wasmeticulous in her design and planning. One Dignitarycommented that we raise the bar every year with thepresentation of our Awards and he wondered how we willbe able to top 2012 next year as every year our Awards areoutstanding.
The menu was a credit to the chef & staff of the MurrayBridge & District Community Club where the event washeld. Mrs. Meulengraaf said she heard commentsthroughout the evening on how great the food was andthat the selections were amazing.

The majorAwards for the night were: 2012 MT&E School BasedApprentice of the Year, was won by Thomas Squires who isundertaking a Certificate 111 Auto Mechanical TechnologyApprenticeship and is hosted by Murray Mitsubishi &Hyundai; 2012 MT&E Trainee of the Year, was won by RyanMorris who is undertaking a Certificate 2 Agriculture and ishosted by Jims Fencing Mount Barker and the 2012 MT&EApprentice of the Year was won by Daniel Hart who is inhis 4th year of his Certificate 111 Automotive Mechanic andis hosted by Murray Mitsubishi & Hyundai.
