Definition Muscles are flexible organs consisting of a special bundle

of tissue which moves particular bones or parts of the body.

Your bones form your body’s framework, but they cannot move by themselves.

About 620 muscles allow you to make body movements.

Lots of your muscles allow your internal organs such as the heart and stomach to work.
