• Attract the widest possible audience to the Wallace Col lection and to proactively seek to develop new audiences, especial ly those unaccustomed to visit ing galleries
• Provide al l visitors to the museum with the tools to develop a greater understanding and enjoyment of the Col lection based
• Off er visitors a variety of ways of engaging with works of art thereby supporting diff erent ways of learning and levels of interest.
• Disseminate rel iable art historical and historical knowledge, creating an experience that our visitors fi nd enjoyable and enriches their l ives

Interprets the collections for the public
Advisory role for all forms of interpretation including labels, gallery information sheets, audioguide text and exhibition panels
Creates and manages the delivery of informal and formal learning programmes based upon the collections for target audiences
Curates exhibitions

SCHOOL’S PROGRAMME
Sess ions are tai lored to the needs of the part icular age-group and led by a tra ined art ist or educator appropriate to the task.
Al l sess ions are free of charge. Pupi ls engage with works of art in the gal ler ies and take part in a range of act iv i t ies , which can inc lude looking, handl ing, drawing, discuss ion and making.
Some sessions require outreach at school
Sel f-di rected drawing groups, especial ly s ixth form groups, are welcome to use the museum for research and pr ivate drawing.
We also off er a range of f ree eLearning resources for teachers to use with their c lass, as wel l as l ively pract ical InSET courses.
