Tracing the technological progress of Japanese railwayRailways were first introduced in Japan around 150 years ago. Actual materials, photos, and detailed explanations are provided to show the progress of Japanese railway and the drama of people involved in the railway industry who worked for the advancement of railways.

Hands-on exhibits that require reservation (first-come first-serve)
Miniature Driving Train (210 yen)
Visitors can operate the train on around a 300 m track while observing traffic signals and indicated speed limits.
Additional tickets are handed out at the exhibition space from opening time onwards
Elementary school students and older may operate the train, while anyone may ride the train.

This is Japan’s first authentic SL operation simulator that reproduces the operation of the D51 steam locomotive.
