The 2010 NAAMYAwards of Excellence werepresented during the 2011National Association ofAutomobile MuseumsConference, held April 6-9 at theNational Corvette Museum inBowling Green, Ky. The NAAMYawards annually honor andrecognize excellence,professionalism, and creativity

within the nonprofit automotive museum field.The museum won the award for its Mickey Thompson: First

American to 400 MPH presented by Banks Power exhibit photobook. This pictorial catalog, which was designed in-house by themuseum’s staff, was produced in conjunction with the opening ofthe Mickey Thompson exhibit in February 2010. The reunion features hundredsof street rods, customs, andmuscle cars as well as a swapmeet, Manufacturers Midway,three full days of drag racing, aCacklefest, and plenty of legendsand celebrities.
