You can use the source of information offered by SLIDE/SHARE, ESPE e-libro, Pro-Quest, GALE Cengage Learning, Ebsco. Advanced research in Google, Altavista, etc. It is recommended to work in a gradual and disciplined manner to comply with the deadlines of the program. The method of study could be chosen according to your preference. However, it is advisable to use tables, charts and synopsis charts to have the learning material narrowed down and more manageable. Objective To develop analytical and summary skills by means of familiarizing with famous musicians.

of these four great musicians. b. Research about their biographies in the Music Handbook (Use

c. Write a paragraph about 100 words of each of their biographies and conclude with what you felt when you were listening these great works after each author.

d. Use your own words and write the information in a word table. Illustrate with graphics. Remember that textually copy is not permitted.

Evaluation The accomplishment of the instructions in the “Teaching Assistance”.

Task

The Musical Gods in The XX Century

a. Write only the main characteristics of these kinds of music: blues, jazz, rock music, latin rock, pop music, the Beatles, reggae music, new age music, folk music.

b. Which one-s do you like more? Write one paragraph of about 80 words.

Task

Create a video with the Music of four of the most important exponents of ‘Ecuadorian Music’. Select four different styles and upload the video to youtube.

Objective To identify styles of Ecuadorian Music by using a technological tool.

Find some guidelines about four of these people (Carlota Jaramillo, Duo Benitez Valencia, Julio Jaramillo, Hnas. Mendoza Suasti, Hnos. Miño Naranjo, Nelson Dueñas, Olmedo Torres, Trio sensación, Los Reales, Los Brillantes, Los Diamantes) and their works and create a video (about 5 minutes) in which you depict four different styles (see the textbook) of Ecuadorian music and their exponents. Finally upload the video to youtube and copy the link in your guide.

Evaluation Criteria Organization and format, creativity, content.
