Music Artist
Analysis
Ed Sheeran
After watching some of Ed Sheerans music videos, I liked the fact that in some of his older music videos you can't actually see who Ed Sheeran is. This brings an element of mystery. He uses other people and people who look like him instead of showing himself. In each of the videos he does appear at least once, however it is normally very brief. When he is shown in the videos he is always displayed in a nice manner, helping other people. These videos gave me the inspiration to use a mask and only briefly show the artists face.
The videos I watched were (in order of below) 'A Team' 'Give Me Love' 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' and 'Lego House'
I have recently decided to have my artist (actor) wearing a Panda mask for my music video. This is partly because Rosh cannot be in the filming, and also because I think it will make my music video unique. I have decided to analyse Ed Sheeran (as done previously) and the Gorillaz, as they also do not feature in their music videos.Gorillaz are an English virtual band created in 1998 by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. The band consists of four animated members: 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs. These members are completely fictional and are not personas of any "real life" musicians involved in the project. Their fictional universe is explored through the band's website and music videos, as well as a number of other media, such as short cartoons.
