Singing, movement activities, crafts and creative dramatics will all be part of this workshop.

His approach is widely respected and involves structured improvisational exercises that build on each other to bring the actor to a more instinctive performance level. Classes focus on exercises in basic repetition, active listening and interaction as well as independent activity exercises and character analysis. Advanced exercises combine these elements to shape layered performances in scene work. All classes are taught according to student skills.

ROCKIT! ACADEMYThe Rockit! Academy, our resident rock and roll performance program, is helmed by the Rockit! Live Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonpro� t organization. Rockit! runs four seven-week programs per year, where kids aged 8-18 learn a speci� c repertoire of songs supplemented with individual instruction. At the conclusion of their session, as many as forty-� ve young musicians form separate groups to perform live on the Basie’s historic Asbury Park Press stage.
