music industry survey for mr. walsh

My music industry survey concluded what most record label or music industry people need to know to be able to reach out to there clients and to know what makes money and what doesnt. Some of the questions I asked in my survey were, “ In the music industry what to type of genre of music do you feel attracts the audience most?” “What is your source of getting your music?” “What inspires you when listening to music?”.
My results from my first response was that he/she chose country as the genre they did NOT like most. The genre they liked most was hip hop/rap. There source of where they got there music from was itunes and the internet. What inspired them most about music was the lyrics of the song. I think from my first response it shows music industry people that they dont spend money on CDs and that itunes is there main money source.
Then I got my second result which showed that he/she didnt like hip/rap. There favortite genre was indie/alternative. There source of buying music was the internet. What inspired them most about music was the artists voice. Now I have two responses for my survey. So shown on the right is a chart of what they spend most of there money on.
My three last results were all really similar. Two of the results both didnt like hip/rap and they enjoyed pop and indie/ alternative most. The fifth result was that he/she didnt like country and that they enjoyed indie/alternative most. The source of buying music for all three results was iTunes.

Out of all five surveys I noticed that all five bought there music using iTunes. Therefore I think that says something to the music industry. I think this survey helped because the music industry can see where the money is mostly being made. Also most of the results chose indie/alternative, which is great for music industries to know so they know which types of new artists to look for in genre.
