In this slide show I will be looking at conventions, techniques and different elements of music photography. By looking at examples of music photography, this will help me develop my own photography skills to use when I produce my own music magazine. I will be looking for conventions which occur through rock/pop music.

Conventions of Rock/Pop music photography: Colour scheme – mainly neutral with frequent use of red and blue. Connotations – usually display the artist to have power or control. Pose – Relaxed or smiling to connote arrogance and power. Range of shot – more then always either long or medium. Props – instruments, urban scenery and microphones.
