Only the Lonely A Tribute to Roy OrbisonOnly the Lonely features operatic tenor Elton Lammie. As a country singer, Elton has won dozens of talent competitions in Canada and the USA. Roy Orbison had one of the most unique, powerful and cherished voices in recorded music history and Elton is one of very few Roy tribute artists in the world that sings the songs in the original keys. He has taken this music all over Canada and the USA and even to other countries including England, Scotland, Japan and Italy. He will be covering all the Roy Orbison hits including Only the Lonely; Pretty Woman; and I’m Hurting. Presented by Meaford Hall
After five decades in the biz, the adjectives ‘prolific’ and ‘eclectic’ frequently pop up in
Rik Emmett’s profiles. Following over a dozen platinum albums from his Triumph years, he’s
produced 19 more as a non-platinum indie, ranging from rock to blues to jazz to
folk to classical – which led to the making of a new full-blown rock record
again in 2016. International notoriety earned him entry into three Canadian
Halls of Fame, and a star on the Walk of Fame in his old hometown. www.rikemmett.com
Presented by Meaford Hall.
RIK EMMETT VALDYFri. June 22 8pm $30

part of the fabric of Canadian pop and folk music for close to 40 years. With four Gold albums, Valdy is recognized as one of this
country’s most influential singer/songwriters having performed his distinctive brand of music around the globe. Valdy is an artist who can musically capture the small but
telling moments that make up life. www.valdy.com Presented by Meaford Hall

Relive the stories and music that spoke to a generation defined by the folk movement, civil rights, peace, love and good vibrations. You’ll hear classic hits such as Ferry Cross The Mersey, Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Crying, There’s A Kind of Hush, Daydream Believer, I Got You Babe, Blowin’ In The Wind, If You Could Read My Mind Love, Me and Bobby McGee, Mr. Tambourine Man, California Dreamin’, Bridge Over Troubled Water, I’m Henry The Eighth, I Am, Do You Believe in Magic and that’s just a start. Don’t miss this musical journey you won’t soon forget! Created by Chris McHarge & Colin Stewart.
A housewife with a wandering eye mixes it up with a philandering dentist. Booked into a Howard Johnson Motor Inn, they have more than a love tryst on their minds. When the hapless husband
turns up, they may end up with a crime on their hands! This triangle of love will take you through a hilarious and nail-biting series of homicidal mishaps where anyone could end up dead – perhaps just from laughing. Be sure to see how this motel-à-trois finally gets sorted out. “Enough laugh lines, mirth provoking situations and extravagant sight gags to outfit two rapid fire farces of the absurd.” - Variety.
