(MUDDY SOIL WEEDING MACHINE)

MuSoW is a machine used to scratch or weed

the surface of the ground that is soft and wet in

paddy fields especially for small size SRI

(System of Rice Intensification) paddy field.

MuSoW is used along the area between the

paddy to removed unwanted grass and to

agitated the soil surface

MuSoW will removed the unwanted grass that

grow in the paddy field without damaging paddy

plants.

MuSoW apply the eco-friendly aspect in:

• weeding process which promotes the growth and

reproduction of microorganisms that produce

more fertile soil with the cosmopolitan life of art.

• making paddy production more sustainable.

• reducing the amount of energy needed to

produce crops.

• protecting the environment.

• making agriculture more efficient process.

There are various types of machine for weeding in the

market today. Most of the machines are heavy and make

it exhausting for the farmers to operate it.

Besides that, the machine is expensive for the farmers to

buy it. This will increase the cost for planting paddy.

Furthermore, the current machine is not portable and

required larger space for storage. It will be harder for the

farmer to move from one place to the other.

MuSoW has various potential buyers that included:

• Farmers that grow paddy

• Company that making paddy production

• Koperasi that involved with agriculture

• Paddy organizations such as BERNAS, Lembaga

Kemajuan Negeri

The originality of MuSoW are:

• the design of the blades that can penetrates the soil

that able to remove the grass without effecting the

paddy growth.

• the design of the duck leg which provide easy

maneuvering on wet fields.

• the length of the wheel of blades that suitable for the

size of the paddy field.

• the height of the machine is suitable with the height of

the user and water in the paddy field.
