CAREER OBJECTIVE
To build on my competencies in finance, accounting, and marketing to develop a successful career in financial management. I am looking for a role that will enable me to apply my skills in the fields of management & cost accounting and taxation . I undertook a 3 month internship at Newell Rubbermaid which led to a month long casual role in the same position, where I was mainly part of the accounts payable team. I was able to complete all the tasks assigned to me in an effective manner, and learned a great deal about accounting procedures though my experience. I have obtained postgraduate degrees in both finance and accounting which I am confident will help me achieve success in any accounting position. I also believe my retail experience has provided me with the necessary experience needed to communicate with clients and customers. In addition, my hard work ethic and ability to focus on tasks will ensure that I can provide value to any firm.

Capstone Studies in Finance University of Melbourne - Determine the valuation of the Reject Shop using the discounted cash flow method and the
trading multiples method- Perform a credit risk analysis to determine the cost of obtaining a revolving loan facility- Identify a suitable merger target for the Reject Shop based on strategic fit, synergies and
financial capacity - The project involved heavy use of basic MS Excel functions and the Data Analysis tool- All objectives were met, and a final presentation carried out for professionals in the industry- Final Grade: HD (80%)

WORK EXPERIENCE
Accounts Assistant (Casual), Newell Rubbermaid January 2016- Accounts payable: Completed processing of stock, non-stock, temporary and cross-divisional
invoices. Assisted managers with the payment proposals by identifying the invoices that need to be paid. Conducted various administrative duties including filing of invoices and remittances, printing statements of accounts and ensuring all suppliers have been paid.
- Updated the Fringe Benefits Tax spreadsheet to account for all employee entertainment and meal expenses.
Accounts Assistant (Internship), Newell Rubbermaid Oct. 2015 – Dec. 2015- Accounts payable: Spent majority of time in accounts payable team. Made abundant use of the
Movex ERP system, and got familiar with all its different functions. Completed the processing of various stock, non-stock, temporary and cross-divisional invoices. Got a thorough understanding of payment proposals and payment runs, overseas payments and interdivisional payments.
- Conducted manual payments for freight suppliers.- Completed the bank reconciliation every week, which involved the use of Excel and functions
