  • MVN TIMES PRIMARY NEWSLETTER

    APRIL - JUNE 2019 – 20

  • Dear Parents

As we resume the school after vacations, we extend warm welcome and greetings to our old and

new parents and students for fun filled days of learning ahead. It’s such an endearing sight to see all

young vibrant MVNites thronging the classrooms in their high-spirits.

By now your child must have settled well and started participating through assemblies, numerous

activities and classroom learning sessions. As mentors and class teachers, we will keep apprising you

about their activities, achievements and important date and reminders through school Almanac and

    mail.

Each day at school is a crucial addition to the gamut of experiences a child forms at a school. In

addition to academics, their experiences derive richness from the daily lessons learnt in Compassion,

Sincerity instilling faith in their abilities, being optimistic and tenacious. A mentor’s work is only

accomplished when they see their students rise in these qualities and beyond. We request you to

constantly work with the children to become aware of these virtues. It is through constant effort and

reinforcement that we shall be able to see desirable results in our bundles of joy. To begin with, let’s

all promise ourselves to follow the Optimistic Creed:

Regards Ms. Tanu Khatter Ms. Vandana Laul Primary Coordinators

  • CLASS ASSEMBLIES

  • Keeping with the tradition of

    celebrating all festivals with fervour

and gaiety, a special assembly on

    Baisakhi was conducted by the

students of Grade V Aster to

introduce the children to their rich

    heritage and culture. The children

    explained the importance of this

festival, sang ‘Shabad’ and recited a

    beautiful poem. Five students were

dressed in the religious attire of

    ‘Panj Pyaras’. The Assembly

    concluded with the lively Punjabi

    folk dance performed by the

    students dressed in traditional

    vibrant Punjabi attire.

Human beings are a social species who rely on cooperation to survive and thrive.

Cooperation is integral to solve the many global challenges we face. This was well

demonstrated by the students of Grade V Camellia through a beautiful song on cooperation

and wonderful dance performance. The message given was loud and clear:

‘Most great learning happens in groups.

Collaboration is the stuff of growth.’

    Little deeds of kindness,

    Little words of love,

    Make our Earth,

    Like the Heaven above.

  • The students of Grade IV Aster

    messages on inflated balloons and

presented them to their friends. The

    poem ‘Forgiveness is the biggest

charity’ was liked and applauded by all.

“Forgiveness gives you another chance for a new beginning "

  • Composting is the need of the hour specially when we are piling mountains of waste and garbage which is bio-degradable. This bio waste from kitchen can be turned into BLACK GOLD or COMPOST rather than wrecking our planet.

It is our individual and collective responsibility to take care of the world in which we live. Consequently, MVN has taken this responsibility to teach the relevance and modus operandi to our students who would learn not only to recycle the kitchen waste but also turn it into something useful and non-toxic for the environment.

In an initiative to save our motherland from pollution, the students of the Primary Wing participated in a composting drive in which they brought kitchen waste from home and put it in the compost pit dug in the school premises.
