Interim Forum for Senior Members

The Interim Forum for Senior Members, soon to be knownas the Provisional Senior Section, held its first annualforum and business meeting on Oct. 10,1992 during theAnnual Meeting of the Academy in San Francisco. Ofthe approximately 1,000 cuffent members, 100 attendedthe all-day program, featuring AAP activity update, thefirst annual business meeting, and a program of educationabout retirement planning.

Plans for a program and meeting during the Annual Meet-ing in Washington in 1993 were outlined, and Committeeswere further organized.

The new "Section-to-be" is thrvinng, is publishing a Bulletin,and growing in appeal and interest.

Fellows of the Academy upon reaching the age of 55years, and with interests in the problems and affairs ofsenior pediatricians, are invited to join in this activity. Ad-dress inquiries to Dr. Kenneth Slaw, Staff Uason, at AAPHeadquarters.
