Please read entire manual before installation.

Before You Start•Disconnectnegativebatteryterminal.Consultaqualifiedtechnicianforinstructions.•Avoidinstallingtheunitwhereitwouldbesubjecttohightemperatures,suchasfromdirectsunlight,orwhereitwouldbesubjecttodust,dirtorexcessivevibration.

Getting Started•Remove2transitscrewslocatedontopoftheunit.•Insertthesuppliedkeysintotheslotsasshown,andslidetheunitoutofthemounting

sleeve.•Installmountingsleeveintoopening,bendingtabstosecure.•Connectwiringharnessandantenna.Consultaqualifiedtechnicianifyouareunsure.•Testforcorrectoperationandslideinto mounting sleeve to secure. •Snaptrimringintoplace.

MXD25 OPERATION

The MXD25 has an easy-to-use interface that provides a rewarding experience, as wellassupportforyourfavoritetunes.AudioCD-RandCD-RWdiscplaybackensurescompatibility with your music collection, and the RCA preamp output provides the right connections to expand your system. From its front panel auxiliary input for connecting your MP3 player, to the detachable face for security assurance, this head unit has you covered.

General OperationPress RELEASE and pull away from the left side to remove. To re-install, insert right side of faceplate first then push left side to secure.

Remove trim ring and install supplied #1 x 7/32” Phillips head screw through left side of mounting frame into faceplate.

Press PWR to turn the unit on. Inserting a CD will turn the unit on automatically. Press PWR to turn the unit off.

Press MODE to select between AM/FM, CD or auxiliary input. Modes of operation are indicated in the display.

Press and hold LOUD for 2 seconds to activate and deactivate the loud feature. Activating this feature will enhance the bassandtreblefrequencieswhenlisteningtomusicatlowvolumes.

Insert a 3.5mm connector in the front panel AUX port. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm connector to the headphone output of an audio device, MP3 player, etc. Press MODE to select AUX mode.

Adjustvolumeusingthe rotary encoder (00-46).

Press DISPtodisplaytheclock.Theradiofrequency(tunermode)andCDtrack/elapsedtime(CDplayermode)willbeshown by default.

Press DISPtodisplaytheclock,thenrelease.Pressandhold DISPfor2seconds,theclockwillbegintoflash.PressTRACK nntoadjustthehoursandTRACK lltoadjusttheminutes.Clocksettingswillbesavedafter5seconds.

Theclockwilldisplay12-hourAM/PMtimeinUSAfrequencyspacingmode(PM10:00).InEuropeanfrequencyspacingmode,theclockwilldisplay24-hourtime(22:00).

Press and hold for more than 2 seconds to RESET the unit upon initial installation. The RESET button is located behind the faceplate.

General OperationInsert the USB connector of a battery powered USB device into the USB charging port on the front panel, which provides 5 volts DC and 1.0 amps. The USB device will immediately begin charging.

Note: The USB charging port may not be compatible with everydeviceduetodifferencesinpowerrequirements.

Note: This USB port provides power only, and will not playbackmusicfromaUSBdevice.

Press AUDIO to select between Volume (default), Bass, Treble, Balance & Fader.

Tuner OperationPress TUNE nn or TUNE llmomentarilytoseekthenext strong station.

Press TUNE nn or TUNE ll for more than 2 seconds, then release. “MANU” will momentarily appear in the display. Press TUNE nn or TUNE ll momentarily to move radio frequencyupordownonestepatatime.Pressandholdtoadvancequickly.Iftuningisnotadjustedfor5seconds,theunitwillreturntoseektuningmode(default).“AUTO”willmomentarily appear in the display.

Press ST/MO for more than 2 seconds during FM tuner operation to select mono or stereo (default) reception of the broadcast signal.

Press BAND to select between FM1, FM2, FM3 and AM1, AM2 bands.

Press and hold BAND then press TUNE nn to select Europeanfrequencyspacing.PressandholdBAND then press TUNE lltoselectUSAfrequencyspacing(default).Anytimefrequencyspacingischanged,allstationpresetsare erased.

Up to 18 FM stations and 12 AM stations can be stored. To store a station, select the desired band and station. Press and hold the desired preset button for more than 2 seconds. When stored, the preset number will appear in the display. The station can be recalled anytime by pressing the corresponding preset button.

Press AS/PS for more than 2 seconds to automatically store the six strongest stations in the current band.

Press AS/PS momentarily to scan presets 1-6 on the current band, pausing for 5 seconds at each. Press AS/PS again to cancel.

Press the EJECTbuttontostopandejecttheCD.The unit will change to tuner mode.

Press TRACK lltoskiptothebeginningofthenexttrack.Press TRACK nn to return to the beginning of the current track.PressingTRACK nnagainskipstothebeginningoftheprevioustrack.

Press and hold TRACK ll or TRACK nn to fast forward orreverseatrack.

Press l/ IItotemporarilystopCDplayback.Press l/ IIagaintoresumeplayback.

Press INTtoplaythefirst10secondsofeachtrack.Press INT to cancel.

Press RPTtocontinuouslyrepeatselectedtrack. Press RPT to cancel.

Some CD-Rs and CD-RWs may be incompatible with this unit, depending on media type and recording method.

Note: CD-R recording sessions must be closed (finalized) for playback.
