Objectiveofthe4‐HAnimalLease/BorrowProgramTheobjectiveofthisprogramistoallowyouthwhodonothavetheresourcestoraise/owna4‐Hanimalprojecttheopportunitytohaveaprojectanimalthroughleasingorborrowing.The4‐Hmemberwillgainfirsthandexperienceinthemanagementandshowingof4‐Hanimalprojectsthroughthecooperationoflocalanimalowners.RulesoftheLease/BorrowAgreement1. Tobevalid,theagreementmustbesignedbyowner,4‐Hmemberandaparent/guardian.Upon

signatureofallpartiesinvolved,thisLease/BorrowAgreementissubjecttotherulesdescribedherein.2. Thetermofthelease/loanshallbethedatethelegalownersignstheform,untiltheendofthe4‐H

projectyear.3. Theprojectanimalandlease/borrowagreementsmustberegisteredinthecounty4‐HOfficeasofMay

1stofthecurrentyear.4. Duringthetermoftheagreement,theanimalisa4‐Hproject.The4‐Hmembermustkeepaproject

specific4‐HRecordBookandaDiarytodocumenttheactualtimespentcaringfortheprojectanimal.Careincludesthenumberofvisitsandspecificwork/careperformed.

5. The4‐Hmembermustagreetophysicallycareforthisanimaltothefullestextentpossible.Acareschedulewillbeworkedoutbetweentheowneroftheanimalandthe4‐Hmember.(Theattached4‐HMember&Responsibilitiesformcanbecompleted.)

6. NoanimalsubstitutionsmaybemadebetweenMay1standtheconclusionofthe4‐Hprojectyear.Inthecaseofdeath,theOwnerandMembermaywishtomakeanagreementonanotheranimalofsimilarage.

7. TheOwneragreesnottoselltheanimalaftersigningtheagreementandtheNJ4‐Hprojectanimalshowand/orendofprojectyear.

8. Attheendofthelease,theOwnerand4‐HMembermaychoosetorenewtheagreementforanotheryear.

9. All4‐Hrules,policies,requirementsforspecificanimalprojectapplytothisproject.10. Thelandowner,leaderorlegalownermustbeheldharmlessbythe4‐HMember,friends,family,etc.if
