Why Am I a Teacher?• I’ve had many positive influences in my life: I

feel responsible to share their lessons• I like to learn from people and share ideas• I have great patience and a knack for helping

other people• I want to be a coach, mentor, role model to my

students AND a spectator to their success• I want to explore the world of math – and I need

YOUR HELP!

What is My Teaching Philosophy?• I want to be more for my students than one

who just teaches a subject. • I want my students to enjoy the subject I

teach them and relate it to other things they enjoy in life.

• Students will be stimulated in engaging academic subjects that will challenge them and excite them.

• Students will listen to and learn from each other and work together to solve problems.

What are the Classroom Rules? – Managerial Approach I strongly believe it is vital to establish a system

of behavioral expectations and appropriate classroom procedures TOGETHER with the students.

Once the basic needs of my expectations are met, the students can create their own learning environment
