Creativity History

Her artistic quests led and comforted her through a divorce, a long period of single parenthood, a journey back to school, and a career as a teacher. As a middle school READ 180 teacher, she threw her whole creative being into her classroom, where she crafted a digital media-rich program to spark a passion for the power of words and images in at-risk middle school students.

Raised with a paintbrush, crochet needle, or sculpting dough in hand, JoDee inherited her creative mind from her Italian mother, who JoDee sees as a master of living comfortably with shifting creative rhythms. JoDee’s own creative shifts took her to the Netherlands as an early adult, where she worked as a leader with a creative arts urban mission.

Career DescriptionNow she works as a District Instructional Support Coach, helping administrators and teachers to implement Common Core with 21st Century Teaching and Learning practices.
