My Dream Career

• Sports Career• The sports that I am good at is soccer and

wrestling. I have a good chance at these sports because size doesn’t matter. If I didn’t need good grades in school to play my sports then I wouldn’t have good grades because sports is the one thing in life that I love besides girls and video games.

Soccer Career

• My favorite sport has always been soccer because nobody has ever judged me by my size. The reason why I am good at soccer is because I have excellent footwork.

Wrestling Career• One of the sports that I am

good at is wrestling because you only wrestle against people that are your weight. This was my first year at wrestling so I wasn’t very good considering my weight in a 105 pound weight class. The other guys or girls have at least 20 pounds on me.

What Sport Players Do

• Soccer players tend to exercise and run a lot.

• Follows rules and regulations.• Have to have endurance.• Need very good balance and footwork.• You need to be able to work together with a

team.

Physical Duties

• Running more than half the time.• Lots of stretching. • Using your balance.• Working is outside most of the time.

Work Hours

• Irregular hours.• Overnight travel.• Seasonal work.• Weekend work.

My Back-up Career

• When I get out of high school I am going to go to a college that has aircraft pilot teaching because that is what I want to do when I grow up. My mom says that I should give her free rides to out of town places too. It also looks really fun which is the reason why I want to do it in the first place.

Requirements

To be a pilot I need these things:

Focus Reflexes not being scared of

heights and smartness.

School Classes• High School.• The electives that I need to

take are carpenter, auto mechanic, drafting and electronics technician. I need to take Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Probability& Statistics. It is required that I take English. I have already taken the science classes that I need. Other classes don’t matter.

• College• I am recommended a

college bachelor’s degree. I am going to try and take this class at Santa Rosa college: Airline/Commercial/ Professional Pilot and Flight Crew Program.

Working Conditions

• You would often handle things about 1o to 20 pounds.

• Work while sitting more than one third of the time.

• Be high in the air a lot.• Having lots of vibration.• You would be mostly inside.• Usually being close to dangerous machines and

equipment.

Physical Duties

• Being able to understand other people’s way of speech.

• Have very good vision. • Have very good hearing.• Speaking clearly.

Working hours

• You would have irregular hours.• Overnight travel.• Lots of weekend work.

Skills I Need

• Following navigation instructions.• Navigating airplanes to transport things like

people or cargo.• Operating communication equipment.• Operating radar equipment.
