2nd Grade Philosophy About Me

Hello! My name is

Rebecca Perez and I am

from Olympia, WA.

I have a Bachelor's

Degree in Early

Childhood/Elementary

Education from

Western Oregon

University(K-8th).

I love seeing students

grow throughout the

year! This will be a fun

year, full of learning,

making new friends,

and growing in our

relationships with God!

Students will be encouraged to

demonstrate these classroom goals:

1. Respect and work well

with others. 2. Listen and follow directions. 3. Strengthen their gross and fine motor skills. 4. Comprehend 1st/2nd grade level phonics, math, and writing skills. 4. Establish a positive self image. 5. Have a life-long love for learning.

2nd Grade Goals As an educator, I believe that it is my job

to not only create a safe, meaningful, and fun environment for my students, but

to also put God at the core of their education. Young children learn best

through exploration and discovery. I will make sure that my students are learning through hands on opportunities, in order

to engage all learning styles. I find it essential to build a positive rapport with my students and their families to build a

sense of community, not only in the classroom, but between school and

home as well. I value open and honest communication with my students'

families in order to ensure a positive experience for all students and

continued growth beyond the classroom.
