Both buildings form 1st stage of the Business Garden complex. They house office space, a business hotel as well as conference centre and restaurants. The construction involved the application of modern design and technical solutions compliant with the principles of sus-tainable construction. The office building B2 of Business Garden Warszawa has been awarded the certificate LEED Gold.

A modern office complex with two independent buildings in the centre of Szczecin, at Brama Portowa square. The project has been implemented complete with ecological solutions ena-bling application for LEED certification. In accordance with the rules of sustainable construc-tion, the project is unique with innovative water and energy saving systems, optimal access for sunlight, waste degradation, and roofing providing protection against the “heat islandeffect”, and bicycle parking spaces for the lessees. The Brama Portowa I office building has been awarded the certificate LEED Gold.

Eight-storey office building has been designed as two separate parts A and B. Precious materials have been selected for the exterior façade, where white and light-yellow sand-stone is dominant. Statues preserved from ex-censorship building and placed now in the main corridor on the ground floor are an interesting interior element.

The Rondo 1 is one of the most well-known building in Warsaw, distinctive because of its: modernistic architecture, cutting-edge technology, top notch standards and a pres-tigious location. The building Rondo 1 is the first office building in Europe which has been awarded the certificate LEED Gold in the category “existing building”. The officeproject Rondo 1 consists of two elements: 40-storey skyscraper with ca. 58,000 square metres office area and 10-storey building offering retail rooms and car park places. Both structures are connected by a 14 m high, glass space accessible to the wider public.

The Cosmopolitan skyscraper is located in the very heart of Warsaw, at the junction of Emilii Plater and Twarda streets, near Grzybowski Square. This 160-metre residential tower with 44 storeys offers 236 fin-ished and fully equipped apartments with areas from 54 to 380 square metres and 299 parking spaces. Within the project, a five-storey office and service building has also been built close to the skyscraper, con-nected with the Cosmopolitan building with a glass roof. The building was designed by Helmut Jahn, one of the most eminent architects of the 21st century.

The organisation of the entire development process of the Villa Poema project was carried out by HOCHTIEF Polska. The scope of works included construction of a five-storey building with 42 apartments ranging from 39 to 92 square metres. The intimate nature of the building, the greenery in the immediate area, proximity to the city centre and the shopping centre as well as the specific atmosphere of Zoliborz are the main features of the Villa Poema project.

Stage I of the residential estate encompasses two buildings for 297 inhabitants with a one-storey underground garage. The estate is protected and monitored on a 24/7 basis.

JK 51 is a complex of two residential buildings in the Odolany area, in the Wola quarter of Warsaw. The building, built in stage I, has 6-9 storeys, 163 apartments and 4 commercial premises. It offers 1-4 room apartments with an area of 32-77 square metres. Another seven-storey building will house 111 apartments with an area of 30-69 square metres and 3 commercial premises with an area of 86-230 square metres on the ground floor. The apartments will have balconies or loggias. The residents of some of the apartments locat-ed at the upper floors will be able to enjoy spacious roof terraces, while some of those on the ground floor will have access to a private garden.

The Deepwater container terminal in Gdańsk North Harbour is the first on the Baltic Sea to have the capability to service most post-Panamax container vessels with re-gards to access, depth of water, quay facilities and equipment. The terminal was builton an artificially formed solid pier measuring 800 m in length and 315 m in width where two container reloading stations were built:• the first section of the quay is 385 m long and the water depth at it is 16.5 m• the other section is 265 m long and has 13.5 m water depth. This section is addi-

tionally ended with a ramp for Ro-Ro ship handling.

The project also included the construction of transport routes and a railway line, each2 km in length as well as an office building with ca. 3,000 square metres of usablearea, Cargo Freight Station with total area amounts to 7,500 square metres and a 1,300 square metres workshop.

Expansion of the passenger terminal at the F. Chopin Airport in Warsaw Investor: Przedsiębiorstwo Państwowe „Porty Lotnicze” General contractor: HOCHTIEF Polska Branch in Warsaw and HOCHTIEF Solutions Time of construction: 02.2010 - 08.2011 Area: 18,300 square metres

The investment involved construction of the central jetty and com-pletion of the south jetty of the terminal. Within the project, five lifts and four aircraft piers have also been built.

HOCHTIEF has also been assigned by Warsaw Airport with the transformation and upgrade of T1 and its integration with T2 (Sep-tember 2012 – Spring 2015). These works were preceded by a comprehensive demolition of T1. The latter, along with the cargo terminal, were built by HOCHTIEF between 1990-1992.

The project was implemented on a turnkey basis in three stages. Stage I of the works con-sisted in the construction of a new part of the terminal where a new arrivals area and a check-in hall are located as well as the technical facilities of the entire building on the un-derground level. In Stage II, finishing works were completed in the office area of the newly built part of the passenger terminal (on levels +1 and +2) and a new checked-in baggage handling area. In Stage III, the existing terminal was rebuilt and a new central security control area constructed. The works also included an internal road link and a car park upgrade. As a result of the last stage of works, the previous building has been transformed into a depar-tures terminal with an enlarged commercial area.

The new building located at the junction of Traugutta and Krasińskiego streets houses the Center of Practical Art and the Innovation Center. With the attic level as high as 25 m above the ground, it has four storeys and one underground floor. It also includes a small-sized glass mill dedicated for the exclusive use of the Academy’s students.

A modern complex of nine research and teaching buildings interlinked with each other with pas-sages, and therefore forming a single facility. Built on the Campus of the 600th Anniversary of the Jagiellonian University Revival, it houses teaching rooms, three lecture halls with 600 seats, a li-brary, research and computer laboratories as well as administrative rooms. The assignment con-sisted in the design as well as construction and assembly works. At both stages, energy-efficient technologies and renewable energies were used (such as heat pumps, solar collectors, energy-efficient lighting (LED) and photovoltaic cells), along with economic utilisation of wastewater. Apart from comprehensively equipping the building with technical facilities, the project covered the as-sembly of mobile furniture.

The new stadium was introduced into the partly preserved and existing banks of the current stands.
