My work revolves mainly on everyday life. The simple surroundings trigger the ideas and creativity in my mind. My process mostly starts with just the observation and documanetation of human behavior that I am surrounded by. I like simple things and simple action, it’s important to stay aware and study real life situations, like the mother who drives her kids to school everyday, the guy who works at the car wash, its simple every day life yet its real life, real action. What I draw is what I see. Expressive drawings are my way of connecting to the outside world; the sense of vulnerability and the roughness that comes in one piece is what fascinates me the most. My interest in design completes my vision as an artist. My goal is to work towards filling the streets with art, urban projects, huge scale project, add humor to the city by using art and design. I always look forward to collaborate with other artist to keep spreading art into the public world. Art to me will always be a learning process I wont ever be satisfied with the skills that I have, its one way of exploring my abilities and capabilities.
2013 memory, collection, connection Senior Project 36cm X 24cm Series of 5
This is a self-portrait within a family portrait. The initial aim of this project was interpreting my family using 3 different methods: memory, collection and connection. Through exploration the idea de-veloped into the strong resemblance of family members in this case my brothers and sisters versus the individuality and different personalities of each. The reason behind the chosen technique is the way I’m including my self within my family. Through time the project started to become a reflection of me where I’ve realized that I discovered this style during my time at Zayed University. In the end the representation of someone else slowly changed into a representation of myself by introducing my expressive style through this series.
