I am Rhenaliza M. Gimpayan, 18 years of age. Born on March 13, 1997. A bonafied resident of Butong, Ronda, Cebu.

I’m a 3rd year student taking up Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in Industrial Technology at Cebu Technological University-Moalboal Campus, Moalboal, Cebu

Introduction

Some says that computer technology is not helpful for us and it is just a barrier or destruction in our learning. But in our generation, we cannot deny the fact that we are now in a new generation which more committed into technology and gadgets. We best learn through the help of computer technology and internet.

Educational Technology is a “complex, integrated process involving people, procedures, ideas, devices and organization for analyzing problems and devising, implementing, evaluating, and managing solutions to those problems involved in all aspects of human learning.”

It is taught in school for the learners to cope-up the new generation. In this study the learners can learn how to use technology to have a better learning.

Technology in EducationIt is the application of

technology to any of those processes involved in operating the institutions which house the educational enterprise.

Computer as Information and Communication Technology

Through computer the improvement on skil ls of reading and writ ing of students are more reliable.

Internet has been serves as an instrument known in the entire world. It really helps us a lot in a sense that we can gain lot of information and data.

Five Domains of Educational Technology

There are five domains of educational technology. These are the: design, development, utilization, evaluation and management. We should considered these domains to create an effective instructional materials for the learners. To know if you need to improve your materials and revise it to and effective one.

Technology IntegrationIt is the use of learning

technologies to introduce, reinforce, supplement and extend skills.

It can provide opportunities to respond to instructional issues/problem.

Understanding HypermediaHypermedia is a

multimedia, but this time packaged as an educational computer software.– Learner control– Learner wide range of

Computer as a TutorThe computer is one of

the wonders of human ingenuity. It can be a tutor in a way that it can be used in facilitate the learning process of the students.

The computer is just a guide for the student to be more knowledgeable in a specific topic.

There is a purpose why educational technology is

taught in schools. It is because educational

technology 1 & 2 wants the students to be informed and knowledgeable on how to use

and what is the use of instructional media regarding

in education/media.

Educational Technology 1 has truly made the learner to

become mindful, appreciative, and equipped to

the use of educational technology 1 tools ranging from traditional to modern

educational media.Educational Technology 2 will

involve mostly on the hands-on on the computer and

deeper understanding. This is to apply the skills of the

students and what they have learned.

Using instructional material is an effective

way of engaging the students to the real world situation. As a

future educator we must know the right use of

instructional medias so that the computer will

never replace the teacher.

The Student After EDTECH

Our actions and decisions that we made today will change the future. We must think wisely

before doing any actions. The students of today are called 21st century learners. When we say

21st century learners that are the students living in a modern

world who are more experts in technologies which they use in a good way and better learning.
