The Beginning

On the night of May 24, 1995 Dennis Crawford walked his wife, Kathy, around and around their little three bedroom house in Salisbury, North Carolina. The floor plan of the house was rather simple, the kitchen connected to the living room which connected to a hallway that connected the three bedrooms and one bathroom to each other and the little bedroom connected to the kitchen. They walked until she said it’s time to go, and so they went to Lexington Memorial Hospital where Dennis watched T.V.

I was born on May 26, 1995 in Lexington Memorial Hospital at 10:00 A.M. My name means ‘follower of Christ’ but I don’t think that is why I was named that. My mom says she just likes that name.

January 17, a magnitude 7.3 earthquake strikes near Kobe, Japan killing 6,433 people.

January 24 the prosecution delivers the opening statement in the O.J. Simpson murder trial.

March 20 Sarin gas attack Subway in Tokyo hilling 12 and injuring 1300.

April 19 The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma is bombed killing 168.

June 29 The Sampoong Department store in Seoul, South Korea collapses killing 501 and injuring 937

August 10 Timothy McVeigh Terry Nichols are indicted for the Oklahoma city bombing and Michael Fortier pleads guilty in a plea bargain for his testimony.

October 3 O.J. Simpson is found not guilty of murder.

According to the Chinese calendar I am a boar. Boars are self-reliant, very sociable, dependable,and extremely determined. Boars are peace lovers and don't hold grudges. My mother’s middle name is Mary, and both of my mother’s grandmothers’ names were Mary. My last name being Crawford means ‘bloody crossing’ and has origin in Scotland. The name can also mean ‘a sheltering place for cattle’.

Before I was born My parents called me “Pea Pod”.

My dad wanted a little girl and my mom wanted a boy.

If I would have been a boy my name would be Dennis Franklin Crawford Jr.
