My Visual Arts Journey

Page 2: My Visual Arts Journey

Beginning: 1970 – 1976 Dance, Music and Drawing – Primary school.

Page 3: My Visual Arts Journey

Music: Guitar and Recorder – Learning of the chords and scales enabled me to begin to write my own

music.

Drawing: I loved being able to manipulate the subject to how I viewed it within myself.

Dance: I enjoyed performing, and experiencing the energy. The flowing movements, facial expressions and body language enabled me to interpret my feelings throughout these sequences. (Art Syllabus –Learning Outcomes 2002 p21)

Ceramics: I liked the texture and feel of the clay, being able to explore and experiment with different shapes, size and to have control of my own design.
