SCHOOL CONCERT—Wed 13th December
Tickets for this year’s School Concert will go on
sale on Monday 30th October at 8:30am from
our School Office. Tickets will be $10 per adult
and $5 per child, family tickets are $25 (2 adults
and 2 children). The venue is the same as last
year—St Bernard’s Primary School, Bacchus
Marsh. This is a fully seated venue.

WELCOME TO TERM 4
I sincerely hope and trust everyone had a relaxing,
restful and enjoyable holiday. Congratulations to all
Richmond supporters on your wonderful Grand Final
win, a long time coming but very well deserved. Great
things come to those who are loyal, patient and
passionate!
Term 4 is an eleven week term filled with many
exciting events, programs, happenings and functions.
We are looking forward to an extremely busy, industri-
ous and rewarding term, full of learning, achievement
and enjoyment.

OHS DRILLS / PRACTICE
As part of our school’s OHS Policies and procedures, all staff, students,
parents and visitors will be practising our:

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
RE will continue on Monday during Term 4 commencing in week 3 at 1:45pm
and concluding at 2;15pm in our School Library.
BIRTHDAY
On Sunday 1st October “Our School” turned 158 years old. We hope the
next 158 years are as educationAL, enjoyable and rewarding as the past 158
years.

STAFFING CHANGE
Congratulations to Mr Rasmanis on being appointed to our .4 (2 days per week)
vacancy. Mr Rasmanis will job share with Mrs Ihlow in teaching our Grade 3.
Mrs Ihlow will teach Grade 3 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday,
Mr Rasmanis will teach Grade 3 on Thursday and Friday.
Welcome Mr Rasmanis and I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy your time
at our school.
SUNSMART
A reminder, as part of our school’s “Sunsmart Policy”, all staff and students are
required to wear a “wide brimmed” hat in Term 4 when outside. Hats are
available for purchase at our school office.
Bacchus Marsh Flower & Garden Show 2017
Fun for ALL the Family – 28th & 29th October, Public Hall Our Fourth Show will provide an opportunity for creative participation for everyone! Children can again enter a decorated sand saucer, but every year we have a different miniature garden as well as the popular Fairy Garden and Dinosaur Landscape. This year it’s an Octopus’s Garden.
In the Floral Art Section adults can experiment with a Zen Garden and it should be a great year to enter veggies in the Produce Section.
This year children & adults can also enter the Decorated Cake and Photography Competition.
There will be an Art Table for the children and such a lot to see.
Help us to promote an Aquatic Centre for Bacchus Marsh.

Children’s entries will also be taken on Friday 27th after school until 5.00p.m.

Please come to our Book Fair which begins on Monday
16th October and continues until Friday 20th October.
There will be an amazing collection of books. You might
even wish to purchase some to put away for Christmas
presents.
Our school receives commission from the total sales of
books, posters etc which we use to purchase books and
resources for the library.
Please come along and support us as this is how we build
our library for your children to enjoy!
Minor Games will be conducted on a Tuesday, commencing at 3:30pm and concluding at 4:30pm. The program will run for 5 weeks commencing next Tuesday 17th October and concluding on the 21st November. The program will be funded by our generous and dedicated teachers. Please complete the permission slip below if you wish your child to participate in the program and return to our school asap.
