Currently in the UK, we use vast quantitiesof energy in our homes and other buildings.The power used to light, heat and operatethem accounts for over 25% of our nationalCO2 emissions. With 85% of this energybeing used to heat homes and provide hotwater alone, it is clear that our industry hasa big part to play in energy conservation.

A New Generation of Fan Convectors.

The iVECTOR utilises a high efficiency heat exchanger,intelligent controls and fan assisted convection. This powerfulcombination of features enables the iVECTOR to provide a fast, accurate and co-ordinated response to the heatingrequirements of every room in a building.

The large surface area of the iVECTOR’s heat exchanger meansthat units are compact in size and occupy less space than apanel radiator of equivalent output. By utilising fan convection,the iVECTOR also provides an even distribution of warm airthroughout a room meaning that rooms feel more comfortable,even at lower temperatures.

In winter months, the iVECTOR rapidly supplies warmth and canautomatically switch to cooling during the summer when fittedto a chiller unit or reverse cycle heat pump. The electronicthermostat in each iVECTOR closely monitors temperaturesroom by room and controls the fan speed to accurately maintaintemperatures at the desired comfort level.

The intelligent, electronic control system in every iVECTORprovides a wide range of easy to use heating and coolingoperating options. Its two-tier level of programmingincorporates an ‘easy’ mode for everyday operation and a ‘full’mode for more advanced functions.

Three times the output yet no extra wall space required!

The MYSON TYPE 33 panel radiator is a clever and compact pieceof engineering. It has three panels and three convector fins so that itdelivers nearly three times as much heat output as a TYPE 11 radiatorof the same size. This makes it an ideal choice for use with low watertemperature heat sources such as heat pumps. You can still have all theheat you need from the same amount of wall space!

Size matters with different heat sources...Why you need a larger radiator when using renewable technologies.

Example1 (Based on a 600x600 Select Compact Type 11)

Using a traditional gas boiler as your heat source

Mean radiator temperature 70°C

Mean room temperature 20°C

Difference (Delta T) 50°C

This TYPE 11 radiator generates an output of 600w when Delta T is 50°C.

Example2 (Based on a 600x600 Select Compact Type 33)

Using a heat pump as your heat source

Mean radiator temperature 45°C

Mean room temperature 20°C

Difference (Delta T) 25°C

This TYPE 33 radiator generates an output of 600w when DeltaT is 25°C.

A larger radiator is needed when using low temperature water systemsto generate the same output as high water temperature systems.

In this example, the radiators are the same width and length but theTYPE 33 has two more panels and convector fins than the TYPE 11 inorder to generate the same output.

NOTE: Good insulation is important. If a building is insulated tomodern standards it will be possible to achieve the desired level ofindoor comfort with even smaller radiators.

‘A’ ratedefficiency

Under the TELL classification a number of specific parametersare weighted and used to calculate an overall efficiency value.It uses the EU energy label, which people will recognise fromits use on domestic electrical appliances such as fridges,washing machines and dishwashers.

The energy label provides information about productperformance. A key part of the label is its energy efficiencyrating scale, which provides an index of products’ efficiencyfrom ‘A’ (the most efficient) to ‘G’ (the least efficient).

A new industry development in2012 is the introduction of a TELL(Thermostatic Efficiency Label)system for radiator valves.

In line with our strategy of heating through innovation andanticipating industry trends, we can now announce that the MYSON TRV 2 WAY valve has already achieved an‘A’ classification under the new labelling system!
