The Titans• The Titans were six elder gods named Kronos, Koios, Krios, Iapetos, Hyperion and

Okeanos. The sisters of the six Titans-Rhea, Theia, Mnemosyne, Themis and Tethys were called Titanides.

• The Titans rebelled against their father, Uranus. They did this by four of the five Titans including Hyperion were at the four corners of the earth to hold the sky, while Kronos in the middle stabbed him with a sickle.

• Many ages later, the Titans had a war with the Olympians, their children, over who would control the universe. Zeus along with his five brothers and sisters conquered the Titans with the help of the Hundred-handed monsters and a wise son of a Titan, Prometheus.

• Zeus then bound the Titans in chains and hurled them into Tartarus of the Underworld.

• The Titans had the power of unbelievable size and strength but their weakness was they were not destructive, and in some cases beneficial.

Hyperion Lineage:

• Father: Uranus

• Mother: Gaia

• Wife: Theia

• Children: Helios. Eos, selene

• Siblings: Oceanus, Coeus, Cronus, Crisus, Iapetus, Tethys, Theia, Phoebe, Rhea,Themis and Mnemosyne.

• Powers: He had the power of the sun and was considered the pillar of the east. He also had incredible size and strength.

• Weaknesses: Not destructive, some cases beneficial.

• Description: Overlord of the day and night, he was father of the sun, moon and dawn. Hyperion was also the Titan god of light.

• Important events: He assisted Kronos to dethrone Uranus by being one of the four titans that helped hold part of the sky. Hyperion also fought in the war against the olympians and was cast into tartarus.

• Allusions: Hamlet tells his mother, “So excellent a king, that was to this / Hyperion to a satyr. So loving to my mother”

Hyperion is a company that specializes in business analysis software.

Hyperion is sometimes used as a name for the Sun.

Symbol: Light

Mnemosyne Lineage:

• Father: Uranus

• Mother: Gaia

• Children: The nine Muses

• Siblings: Oceanus, Hyperion, Coeus, Cronus, Crisus, Lapetus, Tethys, Theia, Phoebe, Rhea, and Themis

• Husband: No husband but Mnemosyne had a relationship with Zeus.

• Powers: Titan of memory and incredible size and strength.

• Weaknesses: Not destructive, some cases beneficial.

• Description: A goddess.

• Important events: She took the side of the Olympians in the war of the Titans. Zeus and Mnemosyne slept together for nine consecutive nights, which resulted in the nine Muses.

• Allusions: The word mnemonic which means any device for aiding the memory. This word was named after Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory.

Symbol: Brain

ThemisLineage

• Father: Uranus

• Mother: Gaia

• Siblings: Oceanus, Hyperion, Coeus, Cronus, Crisus, Lapetus, Tethys, Theia,

Phoebe, Rhea, and Mnemosyne

• Children: The Horaes and Prometheus

• Powers: Being able to predict the future and incredible size and strength.

• Weaknesses: Very exacting in her standards. Not destructive, some cases beneficial.

• Description: Themis was the goddess of law and order, justice, kindness, and prophecies.

• Important events: Themis was the person who first instructed mankind in the laws of justice and morality, such as the rules of hospitality, good governance, conduct of assembly, and offerings to the gods.

Themis was also married to Zeus and his first counselor. She was often seen beside his throne advising him on the law and the rules of fate.

• Allusions:Most courts all over the country have a statue of Themis with her scale, representing justice.

Also Themis is a company that prepares you to go into Law.

Daedalus/IcarusLineage

• Daedalus’ Father: Eupalamus

• Icarus’ Father: Daedalus

• Daedalus’ Mother: Phrasimede

• Icarus’ Mother: Was not mentioned in Greek mythology

• Daedalus’ wife: Was not mentioned in Greek mythology

• Icarus’ wife: Did not get married

• Daedalus Siblings: No siblings

• Icarus Siblings: Lapyx

• Daedalus Children: Icarus and Lapyx

• Icarus Children: None

• Powers: Craftsmanship

• Weaknesses: The sun

• Description: Daedalus is a man with great intelligence and craftmanship. Icarus is Daedalus’ son who has learned many tricks and ways from his father.

• Important events: Daedalus created the Labyrinth. Also Daedalus escaped from Labyrinth to Sicily.

• Allusions: Demi Lavato "Heart Attack", 2013 ( "I'm flying too close to the sun and I burst into flames.")

U2, "Even Better Than the Real Thing,""We're free to fly the crimson sky; the sun won't melt our wings tonight."

Symbol: Wings

Pegasus/BellerophonLineage

• Father: Glaucus, but rumored to be Poseidon

• Mother: Eurynome

• Wife: Daughter of the Lycian King

• Powers: Flight and ability to not be captured or ridden exept for Bellerophon.

• Weaknesses: Gods took Pegasus to heavans and made Bellephoron wander alone until death.

• Description: Bellerophon is a normal man that got the gift from Athena to be able to capture Pegasus, he has no special ability besides courage and heroism. Pegasus is an amazing creature that is a horse with wings.

• Important events: Fights Chimaera and kills it because he can fly over it and not worry about getting burned by it’s fire and he can shoot it with his arrows. He also defeats the solymi, the mighty warriors, and the Amazons.

• Allusions:Pegasus Expedite Company,delivery service. Pegasus Satellite Systems, satellite entertainment.

ChimaeraLineage

• Father: Typhon

• Mother: Echidna

• Siblings: Cerberus and Hydra

• Spouse: None

• Children: None

• Powers: Teamwork

• Weaknesses: Lead

• Description : A creature with the body of a lion, a tail that is a snake, and a goats’ head that arises from it’s spine.

• Important events: Perseus trick Chimera by making it spew fire everywhere while its other head was releasing flammable liquids which lead to it burning its own head off.

• Allusions: In Mission Impossible II (2000), a company creates a virus called Chimera in order to generate a market demand for the antidote it also created, Bellerophon.

Symbol: Breathing fire
