EXPERIENCE

1990–Present Ballew Studio, Inc. Atlanta, GA President President and principle artist responsible for all aspects of business

including large scale scenic and mural design and completion, conceptual illustrations, event floor plans, project research, client consultation, business and production management, marketing and promotion, customer relations, accounting, and human resources

Selected Clients include: Christopher Radko, Capital City Club, Muses Lofts, Atlanta Market Center, March of Dimes, CSX Intermodal, The Coca-Cola Company, Woodruff Arts Center, and Chick-Fil-A

Selected public works and community projects include: two cows for Cow Parade Atlanta, Pine Lake Cultural Affairs community mural, Hillside Hospital community mural, Gateway24/7 Homeless Shelter community mural, and several elementary school murals in the metropolitan Atlanta area

Recent achievements include: guest mural demonstrator at Fauxcademy, Las Vegas; mural workshop instructor and group mural facilitator in Sienna, Italy; and selected artist to create Alpharetta, Georgia’s sesquicentennial mural partially funded by the National Endowment for the Arts

1987–1990 Griggs Van Horn & Associates Atlanta, GA Sales Artist Sales artist responsible for all matters relating to the visual

communication and presentation of special event décor concepts to the end client including décor planning and design, individual set and prop design, event floor plans, department management, and liaison between sales and production staff

1984–1987 Auburn University Auburn, AL Earned BFA with Highest Honors in illustration and fine art painting.

Accepted and enrolled in a one year independent art study program at the University of Chicago Lab Schools college preparatory school as a high school junior. Accepted and enrolled as an art major specifically studying painting and printmaking at the Alabama High School of Fine Arts in Birmingham, Alabama as a high school freshman and sophomore.
