USAG-PROGRAM 1000 VThe line of insulated tools produced by USAG in compliance with IEC 900,CEI EN 60900 regulations, has been designed to guarantee maximum safety andworking comfort in all legally permissible applications in which it is necessary to workon equipment with voltages of up to 1000 V. The insulation provided is appropriateto this type of tool and the relative operational characteristics:injection moulding techniques are used. In compliance with theregulations regarding mechanical function, the insulation of toolswith specific characteristics and performances is subjected tovery rigorous testing:
x Voltage test applied at 10,000 V and measurement of the leakage currentx Adhesion test of the insulating parts on the metallic surfaces of the tools, even at
+70oC, with a check on the resistance to peeling of the grip if the sheathingbecomes twisted, and on detachment due to tensile stress
x Tests on shock-resistance even at -25oC, with a check onthe soundness of the insulating surfaces by means ofapplied voltage
x Compression tests of the insulating surfaces at 70oC,with applied voltage
x Non-inflammability tests on the insulating surfaces
As a further guarantee of their quality, insulated USAG tools have been granted permission to use thetrademarks IMQ, and these are now stamped on the products concerned
