About N. R. Murthy
Nagavar Ramarao Narayana Murthy born on 20 August 1946. He is an Indian industrialist and software engineer & He is the founder and Chairman Emeritus of Infosys.
He obtained his B.E. degree from University of Mysore in1967 and his M.Tech. degree from IIT Kanpur in 1969.
About N. R. Murthy
He retired from his executive position at Infosys on August 20, 2006, after which he has been the non-executive chairman of the board and chief mentor of the company.
Early Life
His first position was at IIM Ahmadabad as chief system programmer.
After IIM Ahmadabad then he joined Patni Computer System in Pune.
In 1981, with an investment of Rs. 10,000 he founded Infosys.
Corporate Profile
He is the Chairman of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad.
He is the member of Singapore Management university , Asian Instititute of Management (AIM).
Murthy is an independent director on the board of HSBC,DBS Bank and Unilever.

1987 Infosys opened his first international office in U.S.A.
In 2010 Infosys has turnover of more than $ 1.6 billion.
Employee strength of over 50,000.
In 1999, Infosys became the first Indian Company to be listed on NASDAQ.
