Boy, was I looking forward to a quiet summer ofl'with the grand kids. But ...... between numerous TC-S and Jamie Dansldn appeals, things were HOT an summer long. Teams and players trying to circumvent the TC-S legislation peaked out just before the deadline. Now comes the process of screening the rosters. Copies are being sent to the Division Commissioners for tbeir review. In tbe meantime. 6 of tbe 12 Div. 1 teams had to make adjustments to their rosters before Sept. 30.

On tbe brigbt side, the number of transfers this year was 66 down from the whopping 114 of last year. Thanks primarily to the monitoriDg done by tbe cODference commissioners. I appreciate their efforts to help stem the team hopping trend.

On the dues invoices that Joe Luceri sent out, there was a request for teams to send in a picture. To date we have received 1b.rtt out of 186lll Thank you to the Lakeshore Storm, Waukesau Thunder and the Magic Wheel teams for complying. It may have seemed like a silly request and it certainly isn't requirement but their was a method in the madness. NWBA EJtcutive Director Frank Burns is attempting market this organization in a number of manners. Some of which call for history, statistics, player profiles and PHOTOS!!! During those early yean of our Association, Claude was active formulating and perfecting tbe rules governing NWBA play tbrough his active participation on tbe Rules Committee. Claude was inducted into the NWBA HaU of Fame in 1982.

In the late 70's and early 80's, Bill was the leading scorer in the Northern California Conference for tbree seasons and led tbe Sinrs to six conference championships.
