SECTION-V

ELIGIBILITY: A) FULL -TIME RESEARCH : M.Phil./Ph.D.: Candidates must have passed Master’s Degree of this University or any other recognized University in the concerned or related subject. They must secure not less than 55% of marks. However, in case of SC and ST candidates, a relaxation of 5% of marks is ‘permitted. Attendance is compulsory as per the UGC rules. B) PART-TIME RESEARCH : For admission into research under part-time programme, a candidate has to satisfy the following conditions. 1. Rank in the entrance test. 2. A teacher with at least 5/3/2 years of full-time teaching experience in a recognized polytechnic or Junior College/Degree College or Oriental College/Professional or P.G. College respectively. 3. The service certificate issued by the Principal of the college is the basis for

computing the length of service for the admission into Part-time research course of the University.

4.. The supporting staff of the Acharya Nagarjuna University are also eligible

to do research under part-time for the award of M.PhiI/Ph.D.

C) EXTRAMURAL RESEARCH : The following are eligible for admission under extramural research: 1. Rank in the entrance test. 2. An employee who is working in an organization that has entered into an

M.O.U. with Acharya Nagarjuna University and possessing atleast 2 years of research experience in a cadre not lower than that of research assistant working in a research institution run by the State Government or Central Government or in a recognized institution funded by organizations like UGC/ CSIR / CSSR / DST/DAE and such other agencies. Except national and State Government agencies, the other R & D agencies should obtain prior reorganization by the University.

3 A Gazetted officer with PG qualification and having 5 years experience. 4. Executive having PG qualification and 5 years experience in Public Limited

Company or Quasi Government Organisation or Cooperative Organisation having a turnover of 5 crores.

SECTION-VII

RULE OF RESERVATIONS Admission to various courses of study will be made on the basis of merit, subject to

the following reservations. A. LOCAL CANDIDATES: 85% of the available seats in each category in every

course of study are reserved in favour of the local candidates from the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam. Candidates claiming reservation under this category shall enclose a local candidate certificate in the appropriate form.

B. OTHER CATEGORY RESERVATIONS:
