Our state is celebrating a big milestone in 2017. This year marks the 150thyear of statehood for Nebraska. Jackpots for Nebraska Pick 5 are going to be big in March. The Nebraska Pick5 Jackpot Promotion is returning, so each time the jackpot is not won during themonth of March it will grow faster than before.

Between March 1 and March 31, the NebraskaPick 5 jackpot will increase by $10,000 each timeit is not won instead of the regular $4,000. The increased roll amount will only occur during Marchand will not be a permanent feature of the game.After the promotion end date, the jackpot amountwill remain at its current value, but will return tothe normal increase of $4,000 per roll.

Glen Stuefer of Lincoln is the winner of a 2016 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Sport 4×4 in the Yuletide Ride Holiday Promotion.

Glen purchased the ticket that would win his new Jeep at CVS Pharmacy,7002 “O” Street in Lincoln. We presented Stuefer with the Jeep January 31, 2017.

Glen was still processing the thought of winning a new vehicle when he arrived to pick up the keys.

“What a tremendous thing for something like this to happen,” he said.“I’m still nervous.”

While Glen was still considering what had happened, his wife Jacque hadno trouble processing the outcome of the Yuletide Ride promotion. “Of coursehe won,” she said to a friend after Glen had shared the news.

Jacque said her husband has had a string of good luck in the past. He haswon cases of water and gift cards ranging in value from $500 to $1,000. Mostrecently, he won a new grill and patio set in a radio contest.

“I win a lot of things. Nothing to this magnitude but it’s about persistence,” Glen said. “People at work almost threw their tickets away.”

Glen, however, took those tickets and entered them into the Yuletide Ridecontest. He works for his family’s construction company and a number of hiscoworkers are relatives. This, according to Glen, created an interesting workdynamic since he found out he had had won. People often teased, “When areyou going to get my Jeep?”

When asked what he was going to do with his new vehicle, Glen smiledand said, “Well, you know, I think I’m going to go back to work and gloat.”
