The way of the carpenter is to become proficient in the use of his tools, first to lay his plans with a true measure and then perform his work according to plan. Thus he passes through life.

WALKWAY ON THE SIDE OF IKVA STREAMDowntown part of Ikva Stream, Sopron, HungaryMA diplomaplan 2013.

Ikva -the river of Sopron- crosses the town center between the closed fas-sade of historical buildings. While I was hanging out in the old quarter I found a section. Hidden from the streets, approachable only trough the gardens of the in-habitants. Actually the stream side appears as a messy, abandoned area but it has its unique and very personal character. I decided to redesign it into a public green area in my diploma plan.

My most important decision is to save the calm atmosphere of the stream side. Only a few people are able to pass the walkway in the same time, and the pavement allows two peo-ple to walk parallel. The plan contains the line or the walkway, some new bridges, benches and earth organisation.

The new elements have a connecting role between the built environment and the stream side, witch is an inclusion of green inside the town fabric. One side is representing the human order, the other one appears like a chaos, but with its own laws. The river moves the rocks and woods and places them into a geometry witch is the most comfortable for the stream. I also tried to accommodate this as an architectural motive.

In details I tried to hide the fixings not to be minimalistic, but to appear as a spontaneous struc-ture. Therefore the different materials are connected with a hidden joint witch is almost the same in the whole plan. My priority was the durability, that is why the wood beams are separate and fixed as less as they can to keep the surface breezy.

Secondary Artschool project mostly for afternoon and evening lessons. The soul of the building is the four drawing rooms. Fortunatelly, when I was fifteen, I decided to become an artist, so from this moment I spent half of my life in various studios. I was working a lot in them and I have got toughts about the ideal one.

The site is a very caracteristic and also protected townscape, grown from argricultural functioned houses of the “poncichter” people, were primodial wine- grower citizens of Sopron. The plot enjoys a great intrest of architectural institude of the local university, because of the combination of historical environment, the presence of a small stream and the lane next to the belt shaped area.

THE INTERIORS OF THE ART SCHOOL You find lots of simple shapes and structures in a drawing room. There are drawing tables, screens, papersheets, cup-boards, standers and geometric models. The space is free and full of life, like it would be in a process of birth. Therefore I think it is that atmosphare which I can imegine the space of creation. When I have studied to draw i was divideing complex shapes to simple shapes. We learnt to create a grid, then to dress it with tones and textures. After the geometric analisis, you practice expressing feelings and emotions than free composing comes. The idea is attractive, that the drawing school should display this primal state. Soft walls, simple forms maybe geometric grid. The outside is an ordinery house of the town, witch includes alwais transforming spaces, witch are prepearing to the birth.

Underground level

I beleved when I am standing on the floor of old stone buildings, that i am on solid erth. Than they where exploring the forgot-ten cript of the Goat Church (Kecsketemplom). I realised, that there can be a labirinth below. Sopron was built on ruins of the roman town of Scarbantia, crossed by the Amber Road. Then the local grape masters were createing the vine betwen the town walls, in multy-storey cellars. Finally I found the architectural language by tearing the ground and let the people peep underground. Downwards the are some medieval and roman age ruins and exibition spacees for the museum.Functionally it is an underground enter-ance of the scattered museum buildings with an informatin center for tourists. Restaurants also gain a new approach.

INSECTARIUMBA Strudyplan at AMI, 2010

Insects are elder habitant of earth and probably they will survive mankind. They are the most diverse group of animals with more than three million species. This facts means to me, that they are the most ef-fective life form on earth, and more than enough to pique my intrest. I went to the petshop and bought a cicada, witch is usually sold as living food for larger pets. I kept her in a small jar on wooden chips, feed her with kitcen waste. Firs few days she was hiding in her matchebox, than I was suprised, she lost her old skin, and transformed into an adult imago. From this moment she inhabited the whole jar, composed it to more confortable for herself. She got used to my hand, than I let her do some walk in my room. My fictional insectarium is a large public bulding with terrariums, exibition room, auditory, restaurant, laboratoryes for scientists and a large butterfly house, made of glass. Suitable for a whole day family pro-gram. I srived for use of structures with external shell fixing, reminding to insects. Finally the whole mass reminds to an abstract bug. The arrival is on the basement level, so you have to use huge slope to get under the building. This space experince must be something like when my cicada went to explore the areas under the furniture of my room.
