The Disbelievers (Revealed in Makkah, 6 ayat) Interesting facts: The Muslims cannot give up their belief in

Allah and their way of life. Deen means a complete way of life.

The disbelievers have offered Muhammad,

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, power, money, women to give up some of his beliefs, but he has rejected all their offers.

In this Surah, Allah informs Rasulullah,

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, that there cannot be any compromise in religion. There should be no forcing or coercion in religion either.

The Help (Revealed in Makkah, 7 ayat) Interesting facts: When people deny Religion they do not

believe in Allah’s laws for this world nor believe they would be punished or rewarded in the next world.

In this Surah, some examples of acts of

kindness (ara. ma'un) are given - caring for the orphans, feeding the poor, showing devotion during salat, and avoiding all types of pride.

Islam requires us to establish a good

relationship towards Allah, ourselves and other people.

the Adhan and the Iqamah?

Assignment:

The Adhan is the call to prayer recited by the muezzin (men only) at prescribed times of the day. The Adhan should be called at the

time of prayer in the mosque, in the home or anywhere else that Muslims gather for the

prayer. After the second “Hajje ‘ale-l-felah” of the Adhan for the Fajr Salah (sabah namaz), the following must be added

(repeated twice): “As-Salatu khairun min an-nawm” - Prayer is better than sleep.

The Iqamah is the second, faster call to the start of mandatory (fard) prayer.
