Weekend Events.
Art By the Bay will be held in Winchester Bay along the bay front, from 10am-6pm on Au-
gust 31st and 10am-4pm on September 1st. There will be lots of vendors, live music, food
and more.
STEP Salmon Derby will run from August 31st through September 2nd. The derby hours
are from daylight to 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday and daylight to noon on Monday. Ticket
prices are $10 a person or $25 a boat. Along with the Derby, there will be a raffle fundraiser.
Raffle ticket cost $2 for one ticket, $5 for three, or $20 for twelve. The drawing will be held on
September 2nd in Winchester Bay at the Marine Activity Center in the Salmon RV Re-
sort. You can purchase tickets at Reedsport Ace Hardware, Snowy River Mercantile, Reed-
sport Antiques, Salmon Harbor in Winchester Bay, Stockade Market in Winchester Bay and
any STEP member. For more information or if you have any questions please call 541-662-

The Eagles will be having a parking lot Sock Hop on August 31st with DJ Pineapple from 4-
9pm. They will also be BBQing at that time. All are welcomed to come.
The Elkton Community Education Center will be celebrating its 20th birthday at the Fort
Umpqua Day’s in Elkton on August 31st and September 1st. Fort Umpqua Day’s are a two
day celebration of the areas history filled with activities, vendors, live music and good times

The Gardiner Sanitary District is seeking a part-time Meeting Clerk to attend a
monthly Board meeting and type accurate meeting minutes. Board meetings
are held on the third Tuesday of every month. The work would require the
use of a computer. Applicants should know how to type, or be prepared to
put in the time to learn. The position will pay $15 per hour. Anyone wishing to
