Status

I live in Broad River Valley, Georgia.I was born in Yadkin River Valley, North Carolina. We are Patriots, fighting for our own dependence.I was educated at home by my mother. I went about as far in my education as a household woman needs, however I am an expert herbalist, a skilled hunter, and an excellent shot.I run my household for a living.Religion: MethodistPolitical View: Down with Britain!People Who Inspire You: George Washington, Nathanael Greene, and Our Heavenly Father.Favorite Quotes:“Labour to keep alive in your breast that little spark of celestial fire, called conscience.” -George Washington, 1737“Objects of the most stupendous magnitude, and measure in which the lives and liberties of millions yet unborn are intimately interested, are now before us. We are in the very midst of a revolution the most complete, unexpected, and remarkable of any in the history of nations.” -John Adams, 1776“Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.” -Thomas Paine, 1777Music: I usually enjoy listening to the fiddle or a classic piece on the piano. However, I will also dance to a very fast beat tune, if it is played.Books: I suppose a few of Shakespeare’s poems is the most I have ever attempted to read.Games: I like bowl toss and marbles, but I do not play often.Sports: Catching game for supper is always fun.Hobbies: Hunting, shooting Tories, and praying for the souls of those who unlawfully taxed us.

FRIENDS

Benjamin Hart: My beloved husband, who must put up with me consistently getting whatever I want (including having those Tories hung instead of shot). We have been married for a long time and he always helps me snare any Loyalists passing through our town.

John Hart: One of my six sons. He has always been the one that has stayed close to home and taken care of me. He has even recently asked me and Benj to move with him and his family.

Daniel Morgan: My dear cousin, whom I admire greatly. He is a Revolutionary War general who commanded victorious American forces at the Battle of Cowpens in South Carolina on January 17, 1781. I have always been quite jealous of him, because he has such a high rank, is so respected by all his men. I have always wished to be recognized as he is.

STATUS

The war appears to be winding down which is quite depressing, but also uplifting. The American Revolutionary War officially began seven years ago in 1775. However, it feels as if I have been fighting all my life for

freedom. We are so close now, so close. I know we can win. We are the fiercest, the most desperate to experience our own independence. It will

be like hitting a brick wall. Everyday I have strived to outsmart, dupe, and crush any and all Tories. When that need is no longer necessary, what will I do? I can’t revert back to a simple lady, as my mother always wished for

me to be. I am too strong natured for such a bland life. I will be a spy without a mission, a dog without a chase, I will lose my purpose. But is that not what we all aim for, to overcome what conflicts us… Logic can drive a man mad. However just as Murphy’s Law states, anything that

could possibly go wrong will. So with my luck, our fight will end soon, but not in our favor.

News Feed

Daniel Morgan : December 13, 1781; Benjamin Lincoln appointed Secretary of War by Congress October 30, Day of

public thanksgiving and prayer observed throughout the United States.

George Washington: "I wish not to heighten the shades of the picture so far as the real life would justify me in doing, or I would give anecdotes of patriotism and distress, which have scarcely ever been

paralleled, never surpassed, in the history of mankind. But you may rely upon it; the patience and long sufferance of this army are almost

exhausted, and there never was so great a spirit of discontent as at this instant. While in the field, it may be kept from breaking out into acts of outrage; but when we retire into winter quarters (unless the storm be

previously dissipated), I cannot be at ease respecting the consequences. It is high time for a peace.”

WALL

Benjamin Hart: Nance, I just want to let you know that I love the way you capture Tories and are never afraid to get your hands a little dirty. More women should have your spirit and your stubbornness. You have tons

of skills and make men wish they were women, so that they could accomplish all that you have. You’re my doll, my shining star, and when

this war is over we are going to go on a vacation, just you and I.

Mr. Snead: Hello Aunt Nancy! Just wanted to let you know once again how fantastic a moment it was, when you splashed boiling soap in that spy’s face… His pride melted away right with his face. Not only he

was disgraced by that, but you also tied him up! You’ll make any Tori think twice about trying to peep on you.
