MARKET POSITION other mexican restaurants in the area are Chiquitos which is a bigger branch restaurant across the region and is a more of a going out vibe to the restaurant and would appeal to people of the age between 18-35. in cambridge there is only one store in the liesure park which is where a lot of people would go to eat.

The other mexican cuisine restaurant in cambridge is Las Iguanas which is the most upstanding restaurant in cambridge and would be considered the place to go to with the family for special occasions. i would say it appeals to the people of the age between 24 - 50.

CONCEPT ONE – 1930’S-1950’S CARTOON STYLE

CONCEPT ONE – USES AND REASONS

The style here is simply and effective and is in trend of your warm audience due to its humor and simplistic messages in this style.

- Bright, bold colors to grab attention.

- Short and snappy messages to remember.

- Mascots that people would remember and or like and grow fond to.

- The format is simple and allows audience to look at everything without being bored and looking away.

These are at least some elements I want to bring from this concept to the final pitch.

TIMESCALE, BUDGETING AND PRODUCTION PROCESSThe timescale of production would be about 3 weeks long.

-the photographer and shoots taking place the first week, for taking images of the food and models used, post production editing of the raw assets, additional time for extra shoots if needed.

-Second week being the editing and graphical week of 20 hours worth of work.

-The third week would be finalizing looks with the client, getting measurements for the print and adding last touches or changes.

The price of this 3 week period would be around £800 all together, £100 for the 1250 fliers, £275 for the graphic designers at pay rate of £11 an hour for 25hours, £250 for the shoot and all elements involved and £75 for the model, with an extra £50 as bleed costs for extra areas for a safety net

RISK ASSESSMENT FOR ANY SHOOTS

The risk of the food getting on equipment could be a possible issue and breaking or ruining kit.

Another issue could possibly if the model or crew are allergic to any of the ingredients and causing them to be unable to shoot or have a reaction to the food.

To tackle these issues I would have sure the food is handled by only one person and that there is a perimeter to the food so no enters its space and ruins it or it gets on something else.

And I would hire crew who are not allergic to the ingredients.

LEGAL AND ETHICAL ISSUES

Ethical issues with this adept that people may get offended by the Mexican themes and find them stereotypical and unfair.

Legal issues may come with not being able to use certain images due someone else owning them, or copy right of an already existing company logo.

The art style here is what im mostly looking at here with the bright colors, pop art fashion look that shows in nana Mexico already, so using this scheme for backgrounds, colors and key art style is the elements to take from this.

-bright pattern backgrounds, lines, shapes etc.

- Art look from the pop art culture.

In concept 3 we want to look at using:

-the textures of native/ancient Mexican culture to relate the look and feel of the street food cuisine though stone and natural looks in texture.-Also the images we want to use are from history backgrounds of statues or famous people or even writings/symbols.-Lastly the color pallet from images show close to guidelines and are traditional to art from the Mexican culture.
