This exciting 10 day tour is being led by Napa Valley College Professor of Vocal Studies, Dr. Eve-Anne Wilkes, who has previously led international performance tours to Germany, the Czech Republic, Spain, Scotland, Canada, and Japan. She is looking forward to this new tour focusing on the music venues of Italy and Austria. The tour starts off in the Italian city of Venice, the "Serenissima"; then continues via train to Florence. By motorcoach, the tour travels to the Italian Alps (Dolomite region) to enjoy the Alta Pusteria International Choral Festival before continuing on to the charming "Sound of Music" city of Salzburg, Austria. Wrapping up the tour will be the historical and cultural mecca of Munich, Germany before returning to San Francisco, California. Included in this arts immersion tour will be choral performances in San Marco Basilica (Venice), Florence and Salzburg, along with visits to the famous galleries and walks in the old towns of Venice, Florence, Salzburg and Munich. For example, a visit to the Michelangelo's DAVID statue and the Uffizi gallery in Florence is scheduled, among many others. This fantastic summer tour has been organized by Tour Resource Consultants, Inc. travel agent, Jim Froggatt. Singers, please contact, Dr. Wilkes, [email protected], 707-256-7501, for more detailed information and to audition for placement within the choral ensemble. This is a unique opportunity to see fabulous art and architecture and perform in these extraordinary acoustic venues.
