    Add Score Transfer/Cancel Score Transfer

To add a NAPLEX Score Transfer request, you must login to your e-Prole and click on the link titled Add ScoreTransfer. Here you will be able to submit score transferrequests for as many jurisdictions as you would like. Eachscore transfer request has an administrative fee of $75. Youmay add score transfers before you take the NAPLEX orup to 90 days after taking the examination.

To cancel a score transfer request, click on the link titledCancel Score Transfer Request. There is no charge tocancel a score transfer, but please note that there are norefunds issued for cancelled score transfers.

    Cancel Registration Request

If you decide that you need to cancel either your NAPLEXor MPJE registration, select the Cancel Registration Request

link. From there you may select the registration that you wishto cancel. For those candidates withdrawing from NAPLEX,$360 will be refunded, and for candidates withdrawing fromMPJE, the partial refund will be $125. No refunds will beissued if your request is received after your eligibility expiresor if you miss your scheduled testing appointment. Please notethat if you cancel your registration, you must wait ve businessdays before you may re-register for another NAPLEX. Anyregistration can be cancelled within two years of the initialregistration.

    Change Primary Jurisdiction

To change your state or jurisdiction for the NAPLEXor MPJE, click the Change Primary Jurisdiction link for

the appropriate exam and select the appropriate change ofjurisdiction. There is a $50 administrative fee to changeyour state or jurisdiction. Once the primary jurisdictionis changed, your ATT with your previous jurisdiction andappointment (as applicable) is no longer valid and theregistration process starts over for the new jurisdiction

Requests for change of state or jurisdiction must bemade more than two business days before a scheduledexamination. A change of state or jurisdiction made withintwo business days of a scheduled examination appointmentwill result in NABP denying the request and in theforfeiture of the $50 administrative fee.

    Resit

Select the Resit link if you need to re-apply for eitherexamination because you have missed your scheduledappointment to test. Choosing this option restarts theregistration process and all administrative fees apply.

If you need to re-apply for an exam but do not see theResit link, it is for one of two reasons:1. Your eligibility will expire in 10 business days or less.

Because NABP cannot guarantee that you will receivean ATT before your eligibility has expired, you are un-able to re-register.

    2. You have already re-taken the examination after a no-show and did not pass. If you missed an appointment,re-applied, and subsequently failed the examination, you must register again.

    Score Results

To view your score results, click on the Score Resultslink located under Exam Services in the left-hand

navigation. For those states that participate in NABPs online

score interface, NAPLEX and MPJE score results willbe available, in general, seven business days after thetest date. You will only have access to your NAPLEXscore through the state that you selected as your primary

jurisdiction, so if that state does not participate in theonline score reporting service, your NAPLEX scorewill not be made available to you online, even if theadditional states your score is reported to do allow suchscore reporting.

For questions about NABPs online posting of scores, contact Customer Service at 847/391-4406. States

participating in the NABP online score interface arelisted in the NAPLEX and MPJE sections of the NABPWeb site.

For states that do not participate in the onlineinterface, please contact that state board if you have aquestion about how scores will be reported to you.

Note: Only the individual state boards of pharmacyhave the authority to issue a license to practice

pharmacy. The posting by NABP of a passing score onan examination does not constitute a license to practice

pharmacy. Boards will not accept examination scoresposted online by NABP for purposes of score transfer orobtaining licensure.

    NAPLEX

    What is the NAPLEX?The NAPLEX is a 185-item computer-based

examination that uses adaptive test technology to delivera mixture of selected-response and constructed-responsetest questions. Of the 185 delivered questions, 150 areoperational and will be used to calculate your test score. The remaining 35 questions are pretest items and willnot count toward your NAPLEX score. Pretest questionsare included on all NAPLEX examinations and areadministered to evaluate their appropriateness for possible

inclusion in future examinations. The pretest questionsare dispersed throughout the examination and cannot beidentied by the candidate.

The majority of the questions on the NAPLEX areasked in a scenario-based format (ie, patient proles withaccompanying test questions). To properly analyze andanswer the questions presented, you must refer to theinformation provided in the patient prole. Interspersedamong these prole-based questions are stand-alonequestions, whose answers are drawn solely from theinformation provided in the question.

The NAPLEX Test DesignThe goal of the NAPLEX test design is to measure

a candidates knowledge and ability as accurately andefciently as possible. The examination is assembled asyou answer questions, using information gained during theexamination to inuence the composition of the remainderof the examination.

When you respond to computer-selected NAPLEXquestions, the adaptive technology will assess youranswers and use that information to select your next testquestion. The computer will then select an item suited toyour estimated ability level from the tests item pool. Yourability level will be estimated from a combination of yourresponses (right and wrong answers) and the attributes ofthe questions that you were assigned. Ability estimates

are used to produce scaled scores, which are subsequentlyreported to your intended board(s) of pharmacy. The

passing scaled score for NAPLEX is 75. The minimumscaled score you can earn is zero and the maximum is 150.

Note: YOU CANNOT CHANGE AN ANSWERONCE YOU HAVE CONFIRMED AN ANSWER

You must answerALL questions in the order in whichthey are presented, and you may NOT skip a question.

blueprint of the topics covered on the examination. They offer important information about the knowledge,

    Computer-AdaptiveMPJE

    What is the MPJE?The MPJE is a two-hour, 90-item computer-based

examination that uses adaptive technology to deliverselected-response test questions. Of the 90 deliveredquestions, 75 are operational and will be used to calculateyour score. The remaining 15 questions are pretest itemsand will not count toward your MPJE score.Pretestquestions are included on all MPJE examinations and areadministered to evaluate their appropriateness for possibleinclusion in future examinations. The pretest questionsare dispersed throughout the examination and cannot beidentied by the candidate.

In cooperation with participating state boards ofpharmacy, the MPJE is uniformly developed, administered, and scored under policies and procedures developed by

NABP. The content of the MPJE is approved by boardsof pharmacy, practitioners, and educators from aroundthe country through their service as MPJE ReviewCommittee members, item writers, and board of pharmacyrepresentatives.

All candidates are tested on their mastery of pharmacylaw as outlined in the MPJE Competency Statements. Each participating state board of pharmacy approves thosequestions that are specic to the federal and state laws ofthe jurisdictions in which candidates are seeking licensure.Candidates must take a separate examination for each

state or jurisdiction in which they are seeking licensure.

The MPJE Test DesignThe goal of the MPJE test design is to measure a

candidates knowledge and ability as accurately andefciently as possible. The examination is assembled asyou answer questions, using information gained during theexamination to inuence the composition of the remainderof the examination.

When you respond to computer-selected MPJEquestions, the adaptive technology will assess your

answers and use that information to select your next testquestion. The computer will then select an item suited toyour estimated ability level from the tests item pool. Yourability level will be estimated from a combination of yourresponses (right and wrong answers) and the attributes ofthe questions that you were assigned. Ability estimatesare used to produce scaled scores, which are subsequent
