SOUNDS BY THE NUMBERS Tonight's Game: The Nashville Sounds and Oklahoma City Dodgers play game two of a four-game series tonight at First Tennessee Park. Oklahoma City won game one last night, 12-6, behind a prodigous offensive night. Tonight, right-hander Ben Bracewell starts for the Sounds against right-hander Scott Barlow for the Dodgers.
Ben Bracewell: 26-year-old Ben Bracewell starts for the Sounds in game two of the series. It's the second start with Nashville after making his first on June 24th in Oklahoma City. Brace-well allowed three unearned runs against the Dodgers in Nashville's 4-1 loss. Prior to joining the Sounds he went 2-1 with a 6.30 ERA in 15 appearances (eight starts) with Double-A Mid-land. The right-hander has a career minor league record of 17-8 with a 3.46 ERA in 100 games (19 starts). Bracewell signed with Oakland as a non-drafted free agent out of Mississippi State University on July 24, 2014.
Scott Barlow: 24-year-old Scott Barlow starts for the Dodgers tonight. The right-hander is 6-3 with a 1.87 ERA in 15 starts this year. 14 of Barlow's starts came with Double-A Tulsa before he made his Triple-A debut on June 26th against Memphis. He went 6 1/3 innings against the Redbirds and allowed two unearned runs in Oklahoma City's 3-2 win. In 82 innings, Barlow has struck out 92 and is limiting opponents to a .164 batting average. Over the course of his minor league career, he's 28-27 with a 4.02 EAR in 98 games. The Dodgers selected him in the 6th round of the 2011 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Golden Valley (CA) High School.
