MSC Nastran / MD Nastran Unification

The MSC Nastran 2012 release includes the unification of the MDbrand and the MSC brand of the Nastran products into a single MSCNastran brand. Your existing license files will work with this release.In some cases, additional license features will be required to accesssome of the new capabilities.

Upon obtaining updated license features, existing MSC base userswill have access to the following additional capabilities:

Linear Contact (Includes Glued and Touching Contact) Local Adaptive Meshing for Linear Analysis Linear Composite Beam

Those users who have an MSC license with Dynamics access willnow have access to the FRF/FBA capabilities.

Enterprise Advantage Users will continue to see a reduction in thenumber of tokens consumed when running MSC Nastran versus MDNastran for jobs, such as: (Please note this is only a partial list.)
