The leopard lives in the grasslands and savannas of Africa and southern Asia.

• Leopards have yellow or brown fur coats with black markings on their legs, face, and chest.

• Leopards have dark spots on their backs shaped like roses, also called rosettes.

• It makes it hard to see them against the tall savanna grasses.
